The tapestry from Barcelona, which was made in the 1970s, has an impressive spatial effect with its warm colours, the coarse weave, the built-in braiding, the numerous thick cords, the pompom and its size. This is also created by the three-dimensionality and is emphasised by the long loops for hanging the mural. The implied division of the surface into one third and two thirds deliberately avoids symmetry. This creates a dynamic that is reinforced by the meandering design of the coloured areas and the variation in the length of the coloured cords. The composition is reminiscent of a landscape design and, despite its dynamism, also radiates a sense of calm. Information on the condition of the work and further photos on request.
